Barrie Giles

Barrie is Managing Director at First Line

Barrie has a degree in engineering from the University of London. His early career was with the GEC Group and Mars Electronics. He then set up a business to offer training, consultancy and recruitment services to the electronics industry.

Barrie went on to join Oxford Lasers as Managing Director, winning three Queens Awards for Industry and a National Training Award. He was Chief Executive for the Heart of England TEC and Business Link, then Director for enterprise development at SEEDA.

In all the organisations that Barrie has worked for, he has made improving customer service and responsiveness his first priority, as he believes that providing excellent service is the best way to attract and retain customers.
