George O'Rourke

George is an IT Apprentice at First Line

George O'Rourke joins us as an apprentice from Oxford and Cherwell Valley College. He has nine GCSE's and is currently working towards a number of qualifications including City and Guilds Advanced Apprenticeship for IT and Microsoft Certified Technology Associate.

George will be training to become a helpdesk engineer. At the moment we are helping him to develop his IT skills by tackling basic tasks such as configuring and installing workstations, before we push him in at the deep end!

One of his first tasks is to build a PC from stock parts, for his own use here at First Line. When he has successfully completed his apprenticeship, he'll be given the PC as a little thank you from us, to take home and use as his own.
