Client profile: Cameron Black

How have things gone in 2009?

They've gone well! The business has doubled in size and they've won their two biggest projects ever, both coming in at around £4M. One is for a private clinic, the other with a charitable body.

Traditionally, Cameron Black have just done the buid element on projects. Now they are doing more design work and this means taking more design responsibility. There's  more risk but ultimately it's more profitable work.

Cameron Black have employed nine new members of staff this financial year, taking the business to around 35 employees including 13 project managers.

And what does the future hold?

The future looks good. There will be a continued emphasis on managing key accounts, together with continual improvement and innovation in the way the business communicates with clients. The directors will carry on having fun whilst maintaining high levels of involvement in the business and with clients.

And finally, Cameron Black will carry on being keen supporters of the annual Cycle to Cannes charity event.
